BOTOX, can help smooth out frown lines and wrinkles to provide a more relaxed, refreshed look.  It comes in a purified protein produced by the clostridium botulinum bacteria and can be used in extremely small amounts by a licensed medical professional.  It works by blocking the nerve impulse from reaching a specific area which causes muscles to relax.  As a result the wrinkle is smoothed away.  In Canada Botox cosmetic is approved for use for frown lines between the eyebrows.  The first 3 treatments are administered every 3 months.   The 4th treatment is administered 4 months later.  Eventually the effects begin to last longer for approximately 5-7 months in between treatments.

FILLERS, such as hyaluronic acid fillers, RESTYLANE and PERLANE, can smooth wrinkles and folds, eliminate tiny lines, enhance and shape facial contours and sculpt lips.   Hyaluronic acid is present in all living organisms including the human body and helps to keep skin plump and elastic resulting in the look of health and vitality. Aging causes the amount of this acid to diminish. Stabilized hyaluronic acid products such as RESTYLANE and PERLANE are injected into the skin to lift up wrinkles and therefore fill creases and deep furrows as well as add volume.
